She saw the Nephalem as the future, and as the means of ending the Eternal Conflict once and for all. And according to an ancient text, Lilith was driven into a mad frenzy at the idea of her children's extinction. While Inarius was trying to figure out what to do, word got out that Inarius was planning on killing the Nephalem. Inarius did consider taking the route of genocide, but troubled by the dissension but later was against that. After he learn of the Nephalem's power he feared power well surpassed that of angel or demon. Inarius became watchful as the first generation of Nephalem grew. (As well as other angels and demons.) They were the first, but not the last, and soon, an entire race had taken form - the Nephalem.

Eventually, Lilith and Inarius mated, and created offspring. Inarius and Lilith had done the impossible, by banding angels and demons together and creating a world in which they could co-exist. And used it to create the world they would call Sanctuary. Inarius was instantly captivated by her becoming the first angel to ever fall in love with a demon.Įither through strength of arms or misdirection, Inarius and his renegades managed to gain access to the Worldstone, located deep within the Pandemonium Fortress.

To his surprises his captor Lilith the daughter of Mephisto freed him and told the angel that they would meet again. One day she captured Inarius and while he was prisoner, he ranted on about his desires to be free of the Great Conflict. She grew tired of her father's approach to the Eternal Conflict.

Lilith is the daughter of Mephisto the Lord of Hatred and the Queen of the Succubus. Both of them are considered the parents of the Nephalem race/human race. While going through the Pandemonium Fortress, the Nephalem and her companions found the journals of Inarius the rogue Archangel and Lilith the daughter of Mephisto.
